Pandemic Perspective

Hello Beautiful One,

Below is an excerpt from an email newsletter that I sent out in February 2021. (You can sign up to receive newsletters from me here)

I’ve been thinking a lot lately. Maybe you have, too?

Last week, I had the privilege to go on a long overdue vacation. Today, I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to briefly escape the compounding stress that the pandemic has added to our lives, families, communities, businesses, etc. I almost decided to work while we were there! Although I have the gift of doing what I love, I am glad that I gave myself time to do a lot of nothing. Most days included walking on the beach, laughing with my sweetie, sitting in the sun, reading, swimming, snorkeling, etc.

Below are a few reflections from the last year: My “Pandemic Perspective”. Perhaps one or two things will resonate for you…

*Love is the most important thing. Love yourself first, then others, as the ultimate healing force. Sometimes, love is cooking for yourself or your family. Sometimes love is holding healthy boundaries. Sometimes love is saying no. Sometimes it’s saying yes. Love can be self-care or romantic dates, words of affirmation or a loving touch or look. Love is authenticity. Love is being willing to show up and support ourselves and each other, especially when it’s not easy. Love is the glue that holds us together for ever-lasting health, happiness and joy.

*Appreciate the small and simple things. More does not mean better. Bathe in the beauty of the moment…may it be with yourself, with others or with Nature. These moments are precious to our well-being.

*You cannot take on the worries of the world alone. Monitor how you consume your external environment, and then monitor how it influences you in return. Does it pull you out of your center or contaminate your truth? Your loved ones may have differing opinions than you, and that’s okay. Catching up on the media may cause you anxiety with no benefit. The food you eat holds a vibration that fuels or depletes your body’s vitality. Your thoughts carry energy that shape your reality. Let’s ask ourselves, does ___ serve me well?

*Shift your priorities to match your present. The things that mattered the most to you years ago may not matter now and visa versa. As the world changes, we change too.

*Gratitude is the key to abundance. An “attitude of gratitude” opens the door to fulfillment and wholeness of how things are. We can always find something to be grateful for.

Perspective is everything. It shifts in the blink of an eye. It changes the direction of our inner winds. I’d love to hear how your perspective has shifted over the last COVID year!

“The Great Undoing” (A Prayer to Creator)

Me on a hike in Boulder, CO.

“The Great Undoing”

Undo what has been done
Step back and see the sun
Let go of all that which keeps me bound
Create space for what is, for what I’ve found
Along the way, day after day
The veil thins, and I pray:
“Oh powerful creator –
Free me of burdens and pressure
To be, something other than,
Myself fully.
Lift my spirits, and
Clear the smoke from in front of my eyes.
Bless my body, bless my home
And bless my loved ones, all beings of earth.
So that we may shine
and share our Truth
For the betterment and ascension of this planet.
Thank you, I salute –
To the sun, moon, stars, sky and earth
East, south, west and north.
Thank you, I pray –
Help me to see another day
Help me to serve my people
Help me to heal and grow
Until it is my time to go
Thank you for all that you do
May it be so – Thank You and I Love You.”

WHAT IF? COVID-19 Channeling

❤️

What if COVID-19 is bringing us back?

Bringing us back to what is essential, fundamental

What if we have long forgotten how to feel connection?

How to connect throughout the mundane, the everyday

What if this is a big lesson for the people of Earth?

A lesson of community, love, resilience and patience

What if what we are gaining so much more than we are losing?

We lose money, we gain appreciation

We lose control, we gain surrender

We lose each other, we gain new ways to connect

We gain time alone

We gain time with nature

We gain joy from simple and meaningful interactions

We gain gratitude for our fellow humans, the communities we stand with

We gain gratitude for the gift of living on Earth

When did we lose this?

When did we stop seeing beauty in the everyday?

When did our appreciation become replaced by competition, power, control and fear?

And WHAT IF fear is the true killer here?

Fear is what fuels the compounded suffering

Suffering is what breaks our collective hearts

The trees, the birds, the plants have long known

How to weather this storm from the start

They are stoic, patient and ready to be reborn

For they have endured change a time or two

Their wisdom fills the air, the fire, the water and the earth

Their steady grace is not anew

They have compassion for our suffering,

Sometimes immediately upon birth

The trees never question love

The plants never question love

The birds never question love

They are free to be

Each moment, a moment

Soon passes, another comes

Attachment is not in their vocabulary

They are masters of change and uncertainty

Nature is often brutal, but they survive

Without the need to control, and without collective fear

They know collective fear will only bring them down

Together, make them droop and wither

Make them die off, go extinct

Instead, they choose to build each other up

They understand and respect the circle of life

The tree people have an incredibly rooted community

Equality, cohesion, interdependence and TRUST

Many storms they have been through

And they do not question it

They know more will soon come

They have much compassion for us humans

We are bound by our fears and our suffering

It is difficult for us to ride the currents of weather

No matter sunshine, frost or isolation

We must resist, and fight, and fear, and fight, and fear

The tree people know how to hunker down

They know how to ride it out

Many moons have gone by

They still stand strong and true

Undeterred by a storm

How can we listen to the trees?

How can we listen to the plants, the birds, the whispers of the wind?

They have been through this before

It is when we get caught up in suffering

That hurts

What if our fear is what is preventing us?

We sink, we drown

But what if it is possible to swim through the journey?

The trees, the plants, the birds never give up

Within any weather pattern

They know this too, shall pass

Can we remain open in times of challenge, isolation, change?

Open to hear the messages, the LOVE exchange

Between all Life on Earth

WHAT IF COVID-19 is the perfect breeding grounds for a NEW WAY?

A new way of connection, love, community, and appreciation

For the circle of life

For its waves

For its peaks and valleys

For its burning flames of change

What if Earth knows how to be reborn?

What if we are meant to weather this storm?

And come out stronger, and braver, with more LOVE than before

Come out with greater CONNECTION

We just have to open our eyes

Receive the LOVE of being alive

And offer LOVE to those whose life cycle will soon end

Only to be reborn again

What if we will soon see?

That we are always where we are meant to be

WHAT IF?

❤️

Channeling & Poem by Shanin Weisberg

March 2020 Energy Update

This time of year offers a pleasant reminder that no matter your experience of winter or the past, rebirth is inevitable. It is then partially our choice, partially Divine unfoldment, whether we are capable to let go of that which (unhealthily) binds us to past struggles, or embrace the lessons learned with a sense of closure and completion.

We are cyclic beings, much like Earth, since we are her people. Each cycle has its season; each season, a cycle. However, it has recently become clear in the collective Earth energy field that unhealthy repeating cycles may finally be ready to be brokenFinally, truth-telling light is shined upon these unhealthy cycles (in sometimes sudden, seemingly life-shattering but actually life-awakening ways), allowing them to be fully healed and rebirthed anew. This is all for your greatest benefit, ascension and unfolding. Others in your life that once participated in these unhealthy cycles may show their true colors, in telling, harsh or abrasive ways.

This results in a big shift and change in perspective. Something(s) you were once blind to, you are now able to see. This may also cause quite an upbringing of emotions and memories, self-blame and criticism, but Beautiful Being, please keep on and know that you are not alone in this process. Earth stands with you, as do many of us, including Eagle and all Bird Spirits. Old programming, belief systems and skewed perspectives are coming to the light to be observed, felt and cleared.

You cannot force yourself to become conscious of the unconscious, but rather continue to surrender to the breath and trust the process and practices that connect you to that which is greater, to balance and to Spirit. Remain open to receive this connection to Spirit as it lives strongly, especially now, within the Air you breathe.

We are being asked to meet the dawning of each new day with centered presence, surrender and hope.

I am with you, and you with me. With Love Always, Shanin

What is a Shaman?

My Buffalo Drum

A Shaman in its most fundamental and westernized terminology means Healer. However, all Healers practice different modalities, and some may not resonate with Shamanic specific techniques. Therefore, not all Healers are Shamans. This word is used often, especially in Boulder County, which in most cases is a great thing (as it speaks to the ancient practices being revolutionized to fit our changing world!), but it can also be a bit confusing. No, Shamans do not have to be from indigenous societies to be powerful practitioners and healers, although there are many that are. Shamanism stems back hundreds of thousands of years. We do not know exactly how far back, but it is shown in prehistoric cave drawings that there was reverence for the animals and people in the community.

Shaman also means “one who sees in the dark”. Shamans are frequently referred to as hollow; they act as channels for high vibrational Spirit energy to move through them for a specific purpose and intention. Shamans clearly see and heal through their ability to be heart-centered, present and open, yet humble and honest. Acting as hollow vessels for frequencies that we are typically closed off to in our everyday lives, Shamans are bridges between this world and the spiritual worlds. Shamans work closely with Spirit helpers and guides, power animals, angels, ancestors, nature beings and invisible forces to serve the highest good and benefit of all. They are highly intuitive and open to their psychic abilities by being connected to that which is greater. It is their mission to bring enhanced balance and ease to the people and life forms of Earth. It is also common for Shamans to work closely with herbs, rocks, minerals and other earthly spirits. A shaman knows and feels that there is a Spirit in all things and works to build “right” relationship with each.

Shamans understand the importance of ritual, community, ceremony and rites of passage. They were the original doctors back before we had Western medicine. Those in need would visit the Shaman for healing from everything and anything: physical symptoms, emotional pain, mental instability and more. Shamans understand that illness, disease, imbalance, pain and suffering are more complex than our modern society likes to think, however I do feel that this is changing. Shamans treat illness and imbalance on subtle levels, because they know that all physical things have a spiritual root. We would be silly to ignore the power of Western medicine today, but Shamanism can offer a deeper and adjacent route to address the ailment and provide positive, healthy change.

My Smudging Fan for Healing Work

There are many practices and techniques, including: Shamanic Journeys, Transmissions, Extractions, Soul Retrievals, Power Renewals and more. They also have many tools in their toolbox, not limited to: medicine songs, healing words, buffalo drums, rattles, feathers, herbs, plants, crystals and more.

Shamanic principles, practices and tools are available to all of us. You do not have to be called a Shaman to embrace the benefits! It is a way of life – to bring in greater harmony, respect, connection, truth, love and energy into the everyday. It is the path of direct revelation, meaning each person who lives a Shamanic life has their own unique experiences within it. It is not limited; there are no rights or wrongs; there are no rules. It is that of meaning and that of liberation. You and Spirit lead the way together.

I hope this information was valuable to you!

Wishing you a blessed & safe holiday, new year & new decade! XOXO, S

Can You Let Yourself Love?

How often do we REALLY let ourselves Love?!

I came across this Universal understanding and participated in the Collective opening over the last weekend…I was blessed to have attended a powerful Womens Retreat in the mountains of Estes Park, led and organized by a great friend and gifted yoga leader, Brooke Coletta. The retreat was filled with Healers, Teachers, Mothers, Daughters, and Students to SHE (the Wild Woman). The group theme was all about deepening our relationship the Feminine, while letting ourselves nourish and nurture from the inside out. Shout-out to Brooke for being the fiercely loving and authentic leader that she is! I had the honor of facilitating a group Shamanic Healing with mini personal readings during yoga, as well as leading the Full Moon Ceremony & Journey on Sunday night (picture of altar above). WOW – I am still blown away by the depth, connection, and sisterhood that develops when we truly LET OURSELVES LOVE.

What is your relationship to LOVE? Is it easier for you to give than receive? Do you find yourself receiving more than you give? What would it take for you to deepen your relationship with this equally Earthly and Cosmic force that connects us to all that is? Where do you feel these words in your body?

To quote the Beatles… “All you need is LOVE.”

I hear you… “But isn’t Love supposed to be shared?” “What if I don’t have a partner to express my Love to?” “I feel numb inside…how am I supposed to fill up with just the energy of Love?”

Truth is, Love is a Universal energy that is available to us in every moment.

You can experience Love within the rhythm of your breath, especially receiving it as you drink in each inhale. Have you ever stepped outside and invited a BIG breath of fresh air deep into your lungs, heart and body? That’s Universal Love! You can bathe in the Love of Grandmother Moon as she radiates power in the night sky and encourages you to release and let go of your uncertainty, fears and doubts. Have you ever gazed in wonder at the moon and stars as they appear as light sparked in the darkness…or at the rays of the sun as they penetrate and illuminate the clouds? That’s Love!

You have all the power you need to feel Love in every action you take, every step you walk, even every physical experience you have through manifested form. This is the gift of being human. We are able to use our senses, inner and outer, to perceive and experience the Love of Life. Sometimes, because of conditioning and embedded non-truths, we forget.

Have you lost your sparkle that glistens in the early morning as you wake, emerging into the dawn of a new day? Have you forgotten what it feels like to be grateful as you close your eyes and rest at night, drifting into the dreamtime? Have you unintentionally deemed Love as something that is irrelevant and insignificant to your everyday Life?

Once felt, Love is expressed through the different actions we take – admiring nature, purchasing flowers, vocalizing feelings, showing up for someone in need, snuggling with a loved one or pet, and yes – through sex. But Love is not limited. It is not able to be contained or boxed when we are experiencing it through the unconditional, dynamic and infinite eyes of the Universe. The process of opening to Love is a constant.

In what ways can you open so that you are able to let MORE Love in?

This is definitely a vulnerable state to be in – to say the least – AND it is a practice that shows us something more, again and again. Our society likes to tell us that we must be tough, strong and closed-off, while hiding our authentic selves, in order to be accepted and loved by partners, friends, communities and the greater world. This is simply not true. Also, we have many celebrity rockstars leading the pack (like Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga) that give me hope for the changes that are occurring in our society.

Humans are on a desperate search for connection. We hold within us an innate, heart-felt desire to connect…to something!

Truth. Love. Energy.

These 3 Shamanic principles are coming through big time for us as both human and spiritual beings, crocheted into the collective Web of Life. We are all works in progress. You owe it to yourself, over anyone else, to let some Love in – as it is right for you!

Love is all around you – waiting patiently – for the Divine moment to crack you open in ways that you have only dreamt about. It is also true that any heartbreak, loss, grief, desperation, abandonment, etc. hollows you in a way so that you can eventually experience MORE Love, because there is newfound space for it to enter Mind, Body and Spirit. I personally believe that although these are generally undesirable pathways to get there, devastating emotions are some of the most effective conduits for connecting us to something Greater.

Your entire existence is rooted in Love. Can you let it in?

It is my sincerest wish that we all Love and let ourselves be Loved – by Earth and nature, by ourselves and each other, by the greater Universe and the Web that connects us all. And So It Is!

With Blessings & Love Always,

Gratitude Leads to Joy

It’s May already!

I am loving this transitional time of increased energy, activation, and action. The sunshine feels so good on my skin, and the warmth touches my soul. We are entering a time where everything is in motion; there is little left stagnant.

Roots are growing, seeds are sprouting, flowers are blooming, trees are blossoming, and we are rising too, in sync with life around us.

Perhaps you can feel yourself gaining upward or outward momentum to manifest your creations! Although, we must remain mindful that seeds do not manifest into trees or flowers or a full-grown vegetables overnight. We must honor our process that is the growth, accepting that it occurs in perfect time. Spring is a new beginning of sorts, much like when the sun rises in the East come every dawn. There is so much stirring around and within us…aliveness, excitement, joy!

I recently watched a Netflix special called “Brene Brown: The Call to Courage”. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend giving yourself the time to. Brene Brown is a researcher and an author, and she has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. I love her down-to-earth and relatable personality.

A few topics stood out to me…

Through her research, Brene has interacted with many who have lost loved ones. She found out that what they miss the most about their loved ones is actually the most ordinary moments. They do not miss the extraordinary.

Also through her research, Brene discovered that some people have a hard time experiencing joy. When some people feel joy, it is counteracted by immediately thinking the joy will be taken away or replaced by something hurtful. She gave the example of a mother gazing at her child sleeping. The mother is feeling joyful and is overwhelmed with love for her child, but then has a sudden vision of her child getting very ill or even dying. She becomes fearful instead of joyful. In contrast, she found out that there is one thing in common for those that do fully embrace joy – Gratitude.

Gratitude Leads to Joy.

It is so common to strive for the extraordinary  – whether that be in your work, your business, your hobbies, your athleticism, your personal growth, your spiritual enlightenment… whatever it may be! Having passion and determination is great, but it is usually the ordinary and everyday moments that we end up taking for granted without even realizing it.

The moments that are ordinary hold the most magic and will be the most missed.

This is baffling and at the same time, liberating! Sure, the extraordinary will give you a boost when achieving dreams or healing miraculously, but it is the simple and the mundane that hold the power to bring us everlasting Joy. And if we invite Gratitude into our lives, it will surely carve the way.

Gratitude is the highest vibrational emotion we can feel. Energetically, Gratitude exudes outward from our heart spaces and ripples throughout the Universe like magnetic sonar waves, bringing us back abundance, love, and Joy. Gratitude, much like forgiveness, will always show us more. It will continue to expand our heart’s awareness and our ability to have thanks and to offer thanks. This is very important in order to live a fulfilled life. Gratitude teaches us over and over again how to be thankful for what we have, for what we have experienced, and for all of the ordinary day-to-day moments that we actually treasure dearly.

If we allow ourselves the proper permission to cultivate feelings of Gratitude, Joy is bound to follow.

What are you grateful for?

XOXO,

Shanin Weisberg

Home Practice: Bless Your Home

You can easily bless your home (or any space) through your thoughts, words, and actions.

STEP ONE: Begin at your front door or the entrance to your space. As you walk in, look around and start to mindfully walk the perimeter of the room, slowly making your way through each part of your home.

STEP TWO: Gaze at your space with the feeling and the thoughts you wish to reflect onto your space – peace, comfort, safety, healing, etc. (You may choose to carry your favorite crystal or burn your favorite herb or wood as you do this.) Invite an inner feeling of Love and hold the clear intention to Bless in your heart center.

STEP THREE: Sounds are a powerful tool that create our reality. Words, songs, and incantations can be a promising way to deliver a potent Blessing. Here is an incantation I have used that is quite simple but effective: “Bless this house. Bless this home. Heal this house. Heal this home. Love this house. Love this home.” You may repeat this as many times as you feel called as you walk around each room, being sure to walk the edges and corners. You may also replace the words house/home with space/place or any other word(s) that feels right. It may feel right for you to touch certain objects in your space, or move your hands in an organic magical way as you repeat the incantation. I would recommend repeating the incantation at least 3 times all the way through out loud with conviction, certainty, and feeling.

STEP FOUR: Once you have made it through the entire space, return to the center of the space or to the center of your home. Close your eyes and breathe for several moments into this Blessing that you have bestowed into your space. Thank yourself, and notice what you feel. Record any experience or reaction as you feel called to.

Always Love,

XOXO

Trust in YOUR Path

Trust in YOUR Path

It is a bittersweet time of year for me, as I am such a summer baby, but actually I am quite excited for fall in CO (hopefully it lasts longer than 1 week – haha ?).

MMM I can taste pumpkin already… (check out my recipe for this month below).

Schools are back in session, nights are colder, days are becoming shorter, and the rhythm of life continues on. As much as I love waking up to the sun shining beautiful luminous rays through my bedroom window in summer, there is something magical about waking up to darkness, stillness, calmness – and observing the light as it emerges and encompasses, waking up Earth (at least on our side ?).

As we begin to shift into another season, our internal rhythms will naturally shift as well to follow what is occurring outside of us. There is great wisdom and balance in the creative workings of life – the macro and the micro. Our bodies may inform us of these changes such as going to sleep earlier or waking up later than before, yearning for more time to slow down & reboot, or a little extra cozy snuggling on the couch with a blanket and your favorite book or movie or podcast. There are endless ways YOUR body could show you – unique to you. Although, it is 100% up to YOU if you listen and respond mentally to this innate craving, or brush it off to the side because of life’s sheer business and scheduled structure. I know for me personally, I can already feel myself turning inward to reflect, recharge, and expand my awareness to learn about things that interest me.

The other night I was watching an awesome show on Netflix called “The Code” and it really stirred up a continuing contemplation of my own

How much Trust do we truly feel for the manifestation of our own unique Path?

The episode I was watching explained the mathematical code that contains the manifesting Universe, in reference to Nature herself. Proven now by mathematical formulae, there is a Universal Order to the intricate workings of Earth and Earth’s Beings. Bees naturally take the path of least effort and resistance as they make their honeycomb – they choose the hexagon shape (instead of a triangle or square) no matter where they are in the world. This shape allows them to use the smallest amount of wax to build their home. Based on fractal geometry, we know this to be absolute truth. The definition of a “fractal” is a non-regular geometric shape that has the same degree of non-regularity on all scales. Fractal geometry is everywhere! From trees to stone formations to brain waves to bubble formations to flowers and bacteria. I like to think of fractal geometry as “ordered chaos”. That sounds like Life – doesn’t it? ?

I love merging the Science and the Spiritual, SO even in times of hardship or suffering, there is still a Universal Order occurring moment by moment – a Divine Timeline for our Path & the events, experiences, and sensations along it. The manifesting Universe has our backs; it will provide us the Path of least resistance & least effort naturally (even if it doesn’t seem so). We are continuously moving, divinely guided through Life – no matter the number of perceivable detours, roadblocks, or bumps that appear on our Path.

I ponder how many of us, myself included sometimes, resist the natural flow, manifestation, and “ordered chaos” that is our Life. Sometimes is quite hard to see the Divine unfolding of our Path – but I promise you, it is without-a-doubt manifesting perfectly – unique to YOU.
